One of his most successful achievements happened in 1994 when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2004 when Rolling Stone Magazine named him the 49 on their list for the greatest 100 artists of all time. He was also knighted in England, and since 1992 has been working toward fighting HIV and AIDS with his charity called the Elton John AIDS Foundation. He is one of the most successful singers of all time. His new performance promises more of the best songs stretching back over his career in music.

Elton's latest performance will start with very limited ticket sales and possibly spread out to a three year engagement. The name of the new show is called, The Million Dollar Piano. It's so named because Elton will be using the same Yamaha piano he's been using over the last few years. Elton will be accompanied in his show by his band that includes an impressive lineup of artists. The members of the band are John Mahon on percussion, Bob Birch playing bass, Davey Johnstone on guitar, Nigel Olsson on drums, and Kim Bullard on keyboards. In addition to the above there will also be special appearances in the show by the percussionist Ray Cooper. The lineup of songs Elton will be performing has not yet been released. However, it will most likely include some of his most popular songs from his new album. Hopefully, it will also include his older hits such as, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, That's What Friends Are For, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me, Island Girl, Tiny Dancer, and Bennie and the Jets.
